Peter Schell and Magali Gely are making Spinifex one of the Barossa's finest labels

Artisans is in the "should visit" category if you are in the Barossa Valley. Its Harvest Kitchen offers what it accurately describes as "generous, honest and flavoursome food" full of local produce.

And then there is a tasting space where you can try the wares of six like minded local winemakers who are all above the ranks of the ordinary.
A Spinifex Eden Valley 2017 Riesling was my luncheon wine of choice and I was not disappointed with the selection. A definite two on my quality scale which gives its Dan Murphy price of $32 a 16 on the Owl's rough and ready value scale.

Peter Schell and Magali Gely are making Spinifex one of the Barossa's finest labels. Well worth trying a selection of their wines available for tasting at the Artisans cellar door 7 days a week from 11am - 6pm.
